President: Tony Klehr
Hello everyone! My name is Tony Klehr and I am running to be your Union President. I have served as an SCEA Executive Board member for the past several years, as well as serving as the Secondary Member Rights Advocate. At various times, I have also served on the Professional Development committee as well as the Technology Committee.
I earned a Master’s Degree in Professional Development Learning Communities from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls and my undergraduate degree from the Harvard of the Midwest – UMD. I have spent my time in Stillwater between the ALC and SAHS teaching social studies.
I am motivated to engage our membership, community, and other union units to strengthen our standing in the broader community and position us for the work of continuing to fight for the strongest possible contract, the upcoming board elections, and supporting the best possible learning conditions for our students and working conditions for you, my colleagues.
Vice President: Brandon Auge
My name is Brandon Auge. Please consider me for the office of Vice President of the SCEA. Lake Elmo has been my professional home for over 10 years. In my current role, I serve as an English learner teacher. In addition to EL I have a background in Spanish and K-12 Literacy.
I have been an active participant in our union as a member of our negotiations team, building representative, have served in supportive roles with our communications team, and facilitated the beginning stages of our Equity Committee work. I am grateful our organization has committed to comprehensive unionism as each frame serves our members, students, and families in unique and critical ways. Thank you for your consideration.
